Orlando-Lake Buena Vista Community Information

Lake Buena Vista

Lake Buena Vista’s excellent location, abundance of community and recreational amenities, and unparallel quality of life make this community one of the most sought-after zip codes in the state. The city of Lake Buena Vista is one of two municipalities governed by The Walt Disney Company (the other being Bay Lake). Originally, Walt Disney’s plans for the Lake Buena Vista area was to turn at least one living area into a “planned community of the future.” The plan never came to fruition, although some of the ideas were included in the Epcot theme park (formerly EPCOT Center) and in the community of Celebration, FL. Many residents who live in Lake Buena Vista are employed by Walt Disney World.

Lake Buena Vista’s neighboring community, Golden Oak, is also located in the Walt Disney World Resort. Promising approximately 450 homes and a splendid quality of life that only the Disney name can provide, Golden Oak, like Lake Buena Vista, will offer residents an all-inclusive feeling of luxury.

Areas of Interest

Lake Buena Vista residents have plenty of options when it comes to exploring different areas of interest around their community. For one, Lake Buena Vista is home to the greatest theme park in the world—Walt Disney World. Inside Walt Disney World residents can head to Downtown Disney, home of Disney Quest and Pleasure Island; and Typhoon Lagoon, a water park complete with the world’s largest outdoor wave pool. Both Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon feature family-friendly attractions and promises fun for the entire family from morning ‘til night. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park offers even more water fun in a snowy setting.

There are four theme parks located inside Walt Disney World, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot theme park, and the Magic Kingdom. But that’s not all as residents have many, many more local attractions to choose from, such as Sea World Orlando, Universal Studios Florida, Kennedy Space Center, Bob Carr Performing Arts Center, Amway Arena, and Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charters, to name a few.

Three golf courses can also be found in Lake Buena Vista: Falcons Fire Golf Club, Grande Pines Golf Club, and Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Whether you happen to be the next Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus or are just learning the ropes of the game, the courses at these golf clubs will be challenging and keep you coming back for more. The little ones will have their chance to practice on the links as well—on a miniature scale of course. Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course can be found inside the Epcot Resort Area and includes the Fantasia Gardens and the Fantasia Fairways, the latter which places heavier emphasis on the player’s actual skill. Many more golf courses can be found around Lake Buena Vista’s neighboring communities.
